• kim | June 6, 2010 my 13 year old son just told me he was gay , I knew since he was 4 .to make him Im fine with it but my so has allways been a loner he hangs with me and thats about it , he is my hart and I just want life for him to be happy , fine , great and i think life for him wont be a easy one . What can I say or do to make him feel everthing will be ok , that its ok to feel the way he does ??I cant even think of life being a 13 yr old who has feelings for boys and cant do anything about it . Please help me help him .

  As with many people, I first found your video on YouTube of you introducing yourself in 11 languages and was both very impressed and jealous :-P
  I'm also a "languages freak", though can only speak 2 fluently - English and German. I'm learning French, Spanish, Italian and Swedish at the moment too (phew!). Actual linguistics fascinates me as well, so much so that I often correct other people's mistakes. They don't find it so funny..

  Ich hab alle deiner Videos auf YouTube gesehen und bin sehr beeindrückt! Du bist nicht nur sprachlich sondern auch musikalisch begabt! Du hast eins meiner absoluten Lieblingslieder gespielt, nämlich "Hijo de la luna" von Mecano.

  I know this may seem very out of blue, but I used to know you through Simon Robjant, about 4/5 years ago before he passed on... I was going through my old computer last night and found quite a few old photos from 5 years ago or so, of Simon, me, Sim and a few others... I felt like getting in touch with you again, after loosing touch with you.... I've also loaded some of those photos up onto facebook in a photo album. If you'd like to see them.

I've posted on the forums a few times some years ago and I'd say it's a great place to get in touch with other language addicts. I'm not really good at self-study and I'd call myself a procrastinator, but your vids were really inspiring. Actually, I've been studying Afrikaans for over a month (which's a record, usually I give up before that and move on to another language), though I've been having a really hard time to conciliate my passion for languages, my social life and university studies. Today, once again he was caught but this time i was prepared to ask question without yelling and screaming. He says he doesn't know how he feels he said he's confuse. All the girls at school likes him but he doesn't feel that way about them. i ask if there was someone he likes but he said he doesn't know he's confused right now. Your publication help me to support him without condemning him. I will seek out any help for our family to learn how to love and support him no matter what. We are a strong christian family so i am deeply sad but you reminded me that God create him and loves him and i will too. Thank you for the website and the vital information you share.
