Alstubleeft, Je moet me vergeven dat ik kan niet wel ABN schrijven, zo moet ik schrijven nor de kleen beetje dat ik herinnere van de levende tal ik heb geleerd op m'n bezoek bij m'n vriend Rudolf de Rijk tot Amsterdam in m'n student-jaren, lange tijd terug (Rudolf is nu gestorven, maar ik heb nog de mooiste herinneringen van deze tijd).
Ik vind nederlands de mooiste tal te horen en spreken, en ik wil het oeven, beter te leren.
Maintenant je vais écrire en français, pour être plus sûr que je n'écris pas des bétises par hasard en néerlandais.
Le français est la langue de mon coeur, parce que je l'ai appris de ma Grandmère (et de "Mémére", sa mère, les deux d'origine québécoise) quand j'étais petit. Après ça, j'étais élevé en anglais aux États-Unis (je suis né à Springfield, la vraie ville des Simpsons). Malgré ma dysléxie, j'ai une passion pour les langues comme toi, et pour les sciences (et SF) aussi.. j'ai eu le grand plaisir de connaître Carl Sagan quand j'ai étudié l'astronomie à Harvard, mais j'ai changé ma spécialité à la linguistique pour étudier avec Noam Chomsky, parmi autres. Influencé non seulement par les théories grammaticales de ce dernier maître, mais aussi par sa politique, je suis maintenant très gêné par la position agressive, fondamentaliste, xénophobe, anti-gai, etc., de mon pays natal; quand j'étais étudiant en Roumanie avec une bourse Fulbright, j'étais encore fier d'être américain.. mais plus jamais!
Je me suis exilé à Montréal maintenant, tout près de mes racines Mohawk (j'ai déjà enseigné la langue, mais il reste encore beaucoup à apprendre et perfectionner).
J'ai beaucoup apprécié tout ton site web, surtout l'esprit gai (dans tous les beaux sens du mot) de ton questionnaire, léger et sérieux en même temps.. et ta lettre de conseil au parents d'un fils gai m'a ému aux larmes.
Le beau temps que j'ai passé en lisant toutes les parties de ton site m'ont beaucoup inspiré, et je vous remercie à toi et à Hans.. ses beaux photos de son jardin exotique m'ont encouragé de ne pas renoncer à mes plans pour un toit vert en haut de l'ancien hôtel que je convertis à ma résidence à Valleyfield, dans les banlieux de Montréal.
Après un été de construction, je déménage ma bibliothèque de 18,000 livres cet automne.. et puis, je serai prêt aussi à inviter des amis voyageants à visiter ma commune.. mes amis anciens et nouveaux seront les bienvenus, et je peux vous inclure dans cette catégorie après avoir fait la connaîssance à travers ton site web.
Maintenant tu comprendra pourquoi je m'appelle Tekastiaks en Mohawk (mon nom se traduit 'Chatterbox' ou 'Le Jaseur').

Ik wil zo vrij zijn om jou op de hoogte te brengen van de tweede editie van het non-profit festival "Ticket for Tibet", op 27 augustus a.s. op het aquabest terrein.
Met ons festival willen we de interesse voor Tibet in Nederland en Belgie bevorderen en willen we de unieke Tibetaanse cultuur in de kijker spelen.
Met muziek en cultuur steunt Ticket for Tibet de geweldloze strijd van de Tibetanen tegen deze Chinese onderdrukking.
Voor mij persoonlijk zou het heel veel betekenen als onze banner op je site geplaatst kan worden. Via de banner kunnen evetuele geinteresseerden rechtstreeks doorverwezen worden naar onze internetsite www.ticketfortibet.com (moet nog worden aangepast naar het nieuwe festival, maar geeft nu een mooie impressie van het afgelopen festival).
Andere manieren van medewerking of ideeen zijn altijd van harte welkom. Je bent bij deze zo en zo uitgenodigd om dit festival bij te wonen. Bij interesse dit eventjes aan mij doorgeven en dan komt het goed.

i have just discover your page, while searching for pictures of men... although i enjoyed the ones you have, i also took some time to read the "gay" part of it; i'm gay and it has been really hard for me to accept it, or takking about it with those around me. my two best friends know it, but they refuse to accept it, and they act like nothing; last year was the time for me to realize a lot of things, falling in love and suffering because of it. this year i want to put an end to the suffering and start a new life. the advices and things i found in your site were really useful for me, and i would like to know more.

Sou brasileiro, conheci teu site há algum tempo e gostei muito embora não entenda o holandês e sou sofrível no inglês. Admiro tua inteligência e disposição para aprender línguas. Gosto da língua russa, já a estudei um pouco e penso retornar a estudá-la. Quanto ao Linux, gostaria de fazer uma pergunta: é possível migrar para o Linux apesar de toda a configuração do meu computador ser da MIcrosoft?
